And so the secret is out!
THR is to return to the TORA Touring Car Championship for the first time in two years with an updated version of the car that brought the team some fantastic results. The Honda Civic Coupe Si has been heavily revised with fresh aero packs and a stronger engine. It has also had the mandatory turbo added to the package.

The squad will be representing Honda under the Honda Racing THR banner with a single car entered frm the third meeting at Sonoma. It is expected that a second car will be forthcoming in future meetings but the team remained tight lipped on...

THR can announce that it has secured the services of TORA returnee XTI Nightrider in a third LMPC entry.
The car will be run in co-operation with Genoa Racing as with the team's current two cars for jenson09 and culchi.
Following a disappointing opening round at the Nurburgring, team owner Matt Hunter was very pleased to secure the talents of XTI Nightrider for the remainder of the series.
The team is also very pleased to announce that with the new driver comes support from XTI sponsor Verizon.

Tonight saw the debut of the RML based THR coupe in the ISCC. The LMP2 entry, a first for the team, performed well in qualifying considering the lack of mileage and looked set to have a strong race.
A false start following a startline collision similar to that seen in the LMS at Paul Ricard earlier in the year caused some limited damage to the Lola Coupe and after some small repairs a second start was effected which too saw a red flag after issues further down the field resulted in damage to a number of cars.
Third time lucky and the THR Lola Coupe lept forward and into second place...

THR will take no more part in any TORA racing for the forseeable future.

THR today revealed it's scheme for the 2011 Summer GT Championship.
The team took the interesting approach of utilising an updated version of its original GT paint scheme used in season 1 of the then FM2 British GT Championship. The familiar red and black scheme will once again adorn the mighty GT500 by Shelby.

The 2010 version of the car that so nearly brought Hunter his first championship and proved to be highly competitive in its debut season seemed the natural choice.
But for two races in the closing stages of the championship, Hunter had been on course to win the opening...

In the first part of a THR mega-reveal we show off the car that started it all, in the series that founded this very organisation.

These are the first images taken of the two THR GT1 cars in testing taken recently.
Assuming the entry is accepted the team have lines up two Aston Martin DBR9's and affiliated themselves with the Young Driver AMR squad.
The team would be called Young Driver Aston Martin with THR.

TORA's most long standing team has taken the plunge into GT1 racing for 2011.
Team owner, Matt Hunter takes up the story.
After the success of the Le Mans 24hr challenge in 2010, there was no dout in my mind that I simply HAD to get THR into GT1 racing this year. After so long with the car I felt like we developed an understanding with it and it grew on me instantly. We have developed a relationship with the manufacturer and works squad which has provided invaluable data for us to speed up our plans and get the car rolling.

THR has revealed the first image of it's Subaru Legacy which it will use to participate in selected rounds of the NGTC series. The late entry came about following a late deal put together to run the car.
Support from Momentum 99 and Thorney Motorsport continues with the team for this entry.

For the first time in many seasons, THR will be entering only a single car for the GT Championship in 2011. This will be based on the concept Raptor from Saleen which is touted to be the car that replaces the highly successful S7R race car.
As such, THR has purchased a single car to test and operate in the 2011 series with support from Need For Speed and Speedhunters.
Jenson09 will be driving the car during the year.

2010 has been a challenging year for THR but we look forward to 2011 with great anticipation. There's some big ideas in the pipeline and we are very excited! Rest assured THR will be back properly next year with a brilliant racing program.

jenson09 shook down the team's new car today at the Nurburgring. Initial thoughts are high for the car which is an improvement in all areas.

The sole Lola Aston Martin, resplendant in Gulf colours for this event, took to the grid after a last gasp effort saw jenson09 in the #45 take 7th and second in the 'petrol class'.
The start went well and #45 was riding on the coat tails of the #69 Coca Cola Racers HPD going into the Dunlop chicane. On the run down into Tetre Rouge, culchi ran wide onto the gravel allowing jenson09 to get ahead and build a good lead while the CCR drivers squabbled amongst themselves and the P2 Porsche of lfcnicklfc.
By lap 11 the CCR of Stonewall was in the pits after he had passed his team mates and...

Qualifying for the Le Mans 2.4HR is nearly complete and only the car of jenson09 has so far been out on track. This was not without problems.
In the first session, the car ran well, topping the speed rankings at 225mph. Contact with the barriers in Porsche Curves damaged the car's aero stability and while jenson09 was able to drive around the problem, top speed was affected. The car still managed a 3.19.9 which was the fastest time set by the car including the extensive private testing sessions undertaken by the team.

The THR team have been testing vigourously for the 2.4hr endurance race at Le Sarthe next month.
There is great anticipation ahead of the race and as Aston Martin's primary representative the team has repainted it's cars for the one off. The cars will be resplendant in the classic 'Gulf' colour scheme though will continue with normal sponsorship.

"The opportunity to race at Le Mans in Gulf colours (albeit without Gulf sponsorship) is absolutely fantastic", Matt Hunter said.

THR revealed today it's TORA MSA V8 Challenge car for the upcoming season.
After a brief dalliance with Holden the decision was made to run with Ford who have achieved a great deal of success in recent times in the V8 Supercar series in Australia.
The car was tested by jenson09 around the Maple Valley circuit and feedback was positive. It should be a great season!!

THR today revealed it's final look for the #45 car to be entered in the MSA TASCAR Cup.

THR today announced its Formula Le Mans by Audi line up.
On show in Barcalona was the teams Audi R8 FSI which will form half of the team's assault on the 2010 FLM Championship. The Audi R8 LMS was still under construction back at THR's Somerset base.
The team took the opportunity to announce it's major new sponsor would be watch maker and FIA GTWC sponsor Blancpain. The unique branding and livery design will appear on the full range of THR's sportscar racing activities in the second half of 2010 and through 2011.
