GOV.UK Consultation: Proposal to Authorise Motor Sport Events on Public Roads

Post by nickyf1 on Fri 28 Feb 2014 - 0:23

EVERYONE, GET TO IT.

https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/proposal-to-authorise-motor-sport-events-on-public-roads

http://www.msauk.org/uploadedfiles/newsletter/ClosedRoads.pdf

The UK Government are proposing to remove current restrictions on using public roads for the purposes of motorsport. If such a thing were to happen, it would radically change motorsport in the UK. Tarmac rallies and street races. Currently rallies use Forestry Commission roads, but this will give them much more freedom to operate.

Also makes it easier for, say, the BTCC to host street racing in the future. Get to it folks! Democracy!

Do it tomorrow then.

This is the one chance to really make an impact on our sport. This consultation deserves all the support it can get.
