Re: Forza 7 Discussion

Post by Flyin Mikey J on Tue 14 Nov 2017 - 7:49

I actually like the physics in this game. Drive some of the different homologated production car groups and they all will have their own feel. I haven't spent much time in the race cars yet, but so far I have found some that I really like alot.

The Sport Utes as we're currently doing on Fridays, are a real handful to drive. I've heard some naysayers about how hard they are... to which, I suggest watching some Youtube videos of them in action in real life. I think they feel the way they look like they should feel: on edge all the time.

I agree with you on the physics Mike, they do feel pretty good. That's one thing I do think they did very well this time around. I always thought they were pretty good in the Forza series anyways. I drove most of those old 70's cars in real life and I can tell you that the game has it spot on.

Seeing as TCC is a cornerstone in TORA's foundation, the answer is most certainly.

Haven't played it at all in the last few weeks, just got no motivation to play Forza 7. The game used to be Forza Motorsport, and was about the Motorsport, now it just seems like Forza (a car racing game where you can collect lots of cars, and we got loot crates too!!!!!).

Just bought the game and... wow, is there really no class based Rivals? That's literally how I prepare for every TORA race. Chasing ghosts helps me a lot more than just lapping.

Yeah, we're not alone either. Found a couple of forums full of people crying about it as well, so I'm hoping it gets added back, but I've scoured the internet looking for info on it on found none. This game actually seems very good so far, the new weather seems to work well, and the new career mode is cool. Plus the menu music doesn't make me wanna kill myself on this one. lol. The only things that I don't like are the tier-based collector system, and this mind boggling omission of class-based hot lapping.

I too miss the Class Rivals, but do like the homologated leaderboards.

How do I look at those? The only leaderboards I see are the ones for the Rival challenges.

Just seen the 2017 Porsche 911 RSR version in the game! Can hook it up if you level up and can choose between money or cars. So pretty rare still. But it is there!

Free Play. X button for track select, then hit Y for Leaderboards.

American Iron will return in January with a new rules package and even broader car list than ever.

As for the second question, I will say that enduros are well into the planning stages.

Re: Forza 7 Discussion

I've been wanting to put together some form of series:

1 - Spec racing - Miata, E30, GT86(Subaru form in F7), Mercedes-Benz truck, Ferrari 488, etc.

2 - a GT4 series, featuring stock versions of the car loaded with aero, and evened out on power/weight ratio for BoP

3 - a series modeled after IMSA CTSC - GS/GT4, ST, and TCR

thinking we'd want at least 15-20 people to run. Would anyone be interested in doing something of the sort and who all would sign up?

Any one have any tips for tuning the Nascars for the road courses, specifically Sonoma? Trying to run a series race there and I just can't get the car to stick. Pretty sure it's a suspension issue, just not sure which way to go with it.

It depends on *when* and under what circumstances is the car breaking loose.

Is it under hard acceleration? Fast turns? Slow Turns? none of the above, all of the above?

All make a difference as to how you'd adjust the car.

Pretty much all. I can feather the throttle pretty well so acceleration isn't a big issue. It bounces around a lot and I thought it was too stiff. Softened up the suspension a bit but it didn't really get much better. I've run the cars here successfully in 4 and 6, but this time I'm a bit stumped.
