Hi, interested in taking part just one question. Are the Forza Edition Cars allowed or only the standard editions?
Cheers

As far as I know, only the 69 Camaro FE would not be allowed due to the exposed blower. But the 69 and 92 Mustangs and Monte Carlo would be allowed.

Also the '68 Dart FE has an exposed blower just as an FYI.
Cheers for the answer Smile

Is it intentional that some cars listed can't be built to spec? The El Camino I have is at 2801 lbs, 500bhp, and every upgrade possible, yet is more than 25PI below the 675 PI limit, and I don't see how it can get there (have tried both engine swaps).

I have it built to specs at 675 just over 2800 and at 499HP.

Try different upgrades. They affect the PI in different ways for weird reasons. All vehicles in the lists will fir their target PIs.

Ive have severa 500hp engine combinations that get restricted. Im guessing you can a 500.5hp without knowing it. Maybe the lobbys should be set at 501hp so theres no surprises or at the very least everyone should check there build to see if qualifies.

Thanks for reminding me of just "how" we dealt with this in prior seasons. I knew I had forgotten a detail, but now that has been corrected:

I have a few builds that sits at 670 but will go to 675 when you add unnecessary wider rear tires.

Are they fine at 670?

No, they need to be 675. And there's no such thing as unnecessary wider tires, especially in Forza! Add as many as possible.

A few cars I tried handle way better with proportional rear instead of having the widest fit possible. It really messed with the way car transitions the weight and grip.

They may feel better, but it's pretty much always faster to have more rear tire widths. I have yet to find an exception to this.

Actually, with the required PI drops on certain cars, the lobby will be set with a 675 PI cap. If someone wants to self-penalize themself, they are allowed to.

Really? I was told in past seasons that my car had to be at that PI number, and I couldn't run a build if it was below.

That is also true in the past, but this year we're opening up a few things that were different in the past in hopes of more diversity up front.

Considering my actual car sits at 465 whp with a 275 tire is plenty. Forza lists hp from the crank, mine being 530ish, anything wider than 315 isnt better except for a drag strip. It all comes down to centrifugal weight at the wheel and not over sizing what spins. The more weight to spin, and larger contact patch hinders unless you have higher hp.

I don't think you get what I'm saying... In Forza, rear tire widths are always better. It doesn't matter how out of balance the car is on paper - you ALWAYS want to add rear tires if you're able to. My builds from previous seasons had max power, min weight, no front tires, max rears, and they were faster than any other combination of parts. The same goes for any leaderboard build. Rear grip is king in the game, and it will ALWAYS result in faster lap times. Whether you can drive it effectively or not is a different story. Also, your tires are less prone to spin if they're wider...

I think it gets rewarded fairly early on in career mode.

How are you getting both max power and minimum weight? I can't seem to get a car to 500 HP under the rules without making it a lead sled. lol
