correction i meant between 52.2 and 52.5 almost with every car from this category.the veloster i didn't have tried yet.
driving with all assistants off but with a controller and not a racing wheel. how you guys drive?
its my very first competitive event so i won't to embarasse me. i will give a look to your replay for sure.
really looking forward to this race.
seems really to be a nice community here ✌🏻

Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Lap Times

Most of us (not all) use a controller.

Mid-52s aren't all that far offpace, and there's some I know of at or slightly behind, that time. Plus, there are some who've gotten a faster single lap but aren't running that consistently, so if they cannot get that golden perfect lap in Qualifying, there's a chance you'll start ahead of them anyway.

If you need any tunes to test out other cars, I've shared mine, as have a few others. You can tell by the PI, weight and HP, as well as upload date, if they're legal tunes for this series. Chances are if they were uploaded in March, for one of these cars, and fit the weight and power, they are built for this series.

About 25 laps down and I'm hitting consistent mid 51s. Hoping to shave that down into a sub 51 time.

51.860 in the Veloster with my TMX Pro wheel using Mikey's tune.

I'm getting used to no ABS at Brands Hatch, but don't really need too much braking.
With "Collision" on and AI set to "PRO" I'm in the mid 52's.

Down to a 1:02 flat on what felt like a pretty good lap but consistently down around the 1:02.3xx mark.
Tried some other builds but none of them were as quick as the original build.

1:02.833 in the Hyundai. I'm mostly in the 1:03's though.

I run 5 laps with AI on Pro and the race settings on Qualifying.
Sim Damage & No Collisions
There was a few times yesterday that I lost a little speed after turn 1 down to the overpass.
I hope my Wheel Throttle pedal is going bad on me.

I also have been running with Manual only to help keep my Trans from getting damage.

I remember, in Forza 4, we could get Engine and Trans damage with Manual /Clutch on.

Re: Hot Hatch Challenge Lap Times

Post by BG Cowboy on Sun 15 Apr 2018 - 23:37

Down to a 1:03.4xx in the Astra when really pushing it but consistently around the 1:03.6xx mark.
Hit an almost identical time in the Hyundai in 5 laps with the first build I tried.

I understand the Alfa buff but the Honda looks on-pace? scratch

Edit to add:

Just tried an Alfa and did a 1:03.4xx in a qualifying simulation run so looks competitive from here. Try a build with Race Wight Reduction - I got to 290hp/2608lbs - I've shared it if anyone wants to give it a go.

The '07 Honda was a bit slower for me but was always around a 1:03.6xx/7xx at 585PI. Dropping in a Street transmission gives you about 5/6 extra PI to work with over a stock transmission and bringing it up to 590PI was enough to drop a couple of tenths from the laptime.

Pushing the '16 Honda up to 605PI made a legal build possible and it was also good for a 1:03.4xx in a qualifying simulation. It offers more downforce but you have to keep skinny tyres on the front of it and yet it was a couple of mph faster into Turn 1 than everything else I tested.

Also gave the Alfa a go at Silverstone and Brands and would have qualified in A Lobby at both with it. If it's going to get even more PI to play with then everyone can form an orderly queue behind me and I'll be out of the Tank-stra right away.

You can really feel the weight difference even 100lbs makes in overall weight, the lighter cars feel so much more adjustable.

I'm always hapy to contribute to testing and share my findings if/when I have the time. Cool

07 Civic @ 590 - 1:02.8xx
Megane - 1:02.8xx
Veloster - 1:02.8xx

All 3 cars will hit the same speed into T1, as well. I haven't tested at 585 build but I will tonight.

There is a decent 62.7 lap video in my xbox feed, if you want to look at the lines.

As for pole think 62.4 is possible.
