Naahhhh can't see Prost coming back. Though would be an easy way to get his lad out of sportscars and into F1.
As for Renault best not to make assumptions about this. Either way, both parties will lose.

Swiss group buying BMW Sauber

MUNICH -- Swiss-based foundation Qadbak Investments Ltd. will buy the BMW Sauber Formula One team under an agreement signed Tuesday.

BMW AG gave no financial details of the sale, but said that the foundation "represents the interests of certain Middle East and European-based families."

It did not elaborate but said that Qadbak's interest in the Hinwil, Switzerland-based team will be represented by a Swiss national, Lionel Fischer.

BMW announced earlier this year that it was pulling out of the sport in 2010.

Earlier Tuesday, Formula One's governing body turned down an application from BMW Sauber for a place on the grid next season -- noting that BMW's previous announcement left uncertainties about the team's future ownership.

However, it said the team had made a "high quality" application and that it would be entitled to fill any vacancy that arises.

"We are pleased to confirm that the FIA has indicated that we may have a place in the 2010 Formula One World Championship," BMW said in a statement. "The team expects to line up on the grid for the first race of the 2010 season."

HE CRASHED IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE AS PIQUET!!!! And in almost the exact same way, the only difference is he clipped the outside wall which made him go into the inside wall with his nose.

Lets hope it's wet tomorrow cause Brawn can take advantage that Red Bull are running with a dry weather set-up on there car!
I have to say though despite the delay, BBC's coverage of the qualifying has been exellent as always. They didn't waste the viewer's time! They just got stuck in and grabbed a few people (literally) like when Eddie Jordan ran off to get Patrick Head! That was quite funny! lol Razz Razz

Abu Dhabi sucks. Thats not a race track, thats a damn leisure facitility with a really bad race track going through it. The track itself is horrendous! Look at that tight hairpin with the chicane before it! The many many 90 degree corners and chicanes. Its hideous!

I think it looks helluva good, personally. Love the way it's thrown up anomalies like Buemi leading much of this mornings practice in the Toro Rosso, but good to see Button and Hamilton trading times at the top.

Luca de Montazemolo was furious at his cars being so bad, very funny! Very Happy

Re: Formula 1

Post by Richy59 on Mon 2 Nov 2009 - 10:46

Saw this on Planetf1:

But before hoping on a plane from Abu Dhabi, Button first had to put up with a bit of ribbing from the Red Bull duo who joined in him in the post-race press conference on Sunday night.

Vettel: I hear you are getting married.
Button: Are you proposing?
Vettel: I heard you will get married.
Button: You know, they write great things in the press. Thank you for that one Seb, but I am going to enjoy this as we often look too far into the future and I want to just enjoy this moment and then I will look to the future after that.

The topic, though, didn't die down down there. Asked later what they planned on between now and February, Vettel started the wedding talk over again.

Vettel: Jenson's getting married, we heard. So he's busy.
Webber: And we're all invited as well.
Vettel: Yeah, everyone.
Button: Next question.

The Red Bull duo, though, just didn't seem to tire of discuss Button's alleged plans as Webber had a behind-the-mike conversation with his team-mate while Button was talking.

Button: 'scuse me, I'm just trying to talk - you might want to listen to this.
Webber: We're just talking about your wedding day, mate. We're just trying to clear our schedules.

The Australian was ignored, promting a journalist to ask, "What's the date for the wedding, Jenson? "

Button: It's my birthday, did you say? By the way, I'm looking forward to my present, thank you very much, Bob. What did you call me before?
Journo: The World Champion?
Button: That's the one, thank you. I'm not getting married this year.
Vettel: Why not? You don't love her?
Webber: Clear up January, clear it up.
Button: I think some things need to be kept private in your life and that's one of them. Thank you very much.
