I'm doing 3.42s with the downforce down as low as possible on the 10% 5% 5% handicap, sorry, its not happening.

well, keep giving it a go mate.
there is ALOT of time to gain/lose on this track.

"For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.”

Re: Timing Board
That's not bad. Dan was doing 3:39's in the Aston, although the Aston is capable of 3.36's, so you are not far off at the moment. Maybe we could just limit you with the 10% power handicap and no handling handicap. Like I said before, I do not want to totally cripple the GTR, so maybe different builds for different drivers.

I think the reason I could only do a 3:39.xxx is because I'm not using traction control. And you guys know obviously how difficult it is to get the power down in the Aston without traction control? Problem is, I've tried using traction control and it just slows me down.

Re: Timing Board
Well they have decided to give the GTR a 15% power handicap and a Maximum Pi of 908. That should even the playing field now. Cannot wait for this now. Get smoked on the straights and then try to catch up in the corners. Yo-Yo race. Should be fun.

Re: Timing Board
I cannot wait. Seriously. This is what I want. Lots of overtaking and strategy involved. The Aston can just top 200mph on the straight and we will be low 180's, so it should be exciting.

Re: Timing Board
oh god its lemans classic all over again i was at 196 in the vette and switch was 175 i believe? (correct me if im wrong switch) and he would eat me up in the corners and would pass me just in time for the start finish line on most laps

Re: Timing Board
I was doing 178mph max in the E30. And I cannot reach 200mph in the dbr9 unless we were at the old mulsanne. Best I could do before the first schicane is 191mph (189 by the 2nd schicane, i think 185 hitting the brake zone for Mulsanne Corner)
edit: Btw, that is with the default and my tune for the DBR9

Snap, except add nearly 10 seconds on to your time. The cars fine at speed but I'm basically doing a burnout after every slow corner.
I'll be giving this a miss now...the standard of competition in GT1 is a bit too much for me.

Im going to try to make it depending on what time my kart race ends (or it gets rained out) and i know im gonna get destroyed as soon as the porsches get to corner, and theyre just gonna stick right on my bumper on straights

There's this really cool thing they invented called Traction Control. You should try it.
