A big crash for britracer in Rally Azores, where he drove a works Skoda Fabia S200, has put him out of Le Mans, he had this to say, "It's always a shame to miss one of the big races, but hopefully we can have some good news with the V8's!"

Gutted!
Led for over half distance before internet broke. Had managed to out do everyone else on fuel strategy so was pitting a lap or two later and having that in had was a godsend.
Failure came after posting a 3.17.3 and had about 2000ft on Stonewall Sad

Failure
was runnign a solid 4th. had a minor incedent coming into the pits and had some damage and was running a little slower than notmal untill a gearbox failure put the #18 audi into the pits for good.

WOW that was epic! I was 20 seconds behind Switch (who was in 2nd) after my final pit stop. I crossed the finish line 0.698 seconds behind him. I'm not even disappointed that I couldn't make the pass - the chase down was so awesome. Great race Switch, one I shall remember for a long time, thanks. Cool

Well i had a perfect start, I got past Chillz on the 1st lap after the Mulsanne. Switch got past too, which was perfect so i took advantage of it and got straight into a comfortable pace and just stretched out my lead. I kept the lead from lap 1 and drove a good race, even getting into the 35's.

2nd place, and a Gulf Austins 1-2 finish is awesome. 1 fuel-stint i think my crew gave me bad tires as i wasnt getting out of the 3:40's until the tires were near the end of that fuel load. And my last run had some major mistakes by me. going off in the same spot as the GT2 Vette in the 24hr got knocked off, and again on the right onto the Mulsanne, i nearly 360'ed it. luckily enough, these DBR9's are tough! those two offs, i hit stuff, not hard, but i still walked away with no Aero damage, though it looked like it. Razz

I had fun, and now looking forward to the Nurburg 24
