Can someone please tell me where the next race is ?
The rules and regs will not load up for me. Is anyone else having this trouble?
I thought it was Sunset Full Reverse, as that is what I have printed out, but the calendar says Bugatti circuit???

In the results and standings page, it still says Sunset, but the calender says Bugatti. Can we please get this confirmed, so we can begin testing at the right circuit. Thanks.

Chllz, you need to split your time and tuning between the 2 tracks, the rest of us will just practice the one that we will be racing on. Everyone else thinks this is a good idea. Lol. You were lightning fast today. Congrats.

Re: Championship Discussion

Post by CQR Magictap on Wed Jul 21, 2010 4:33 pm

YO dudes!

V8C was great fun, thanks to all it was wicked. My night started out with a new tune from the master Chillz about 10 mins before the quali took place. A few laps later I decided it was best I stick to the untuned car as my rear was everywhere!! Feeling a little intimidated by Chillz's speed in same tune at this point. So, my answer, opened a bottle of red and used chillz tune for quali, thinking in 5 mins i should be able to master it!!!

I managed to beat my untuned quickest lap time by a tenth using the tail happy death tune of Chillz. Qualied 2nd, a tenth behind Chillz, Well chuffed.

While waiting for the invites to the first race it transpired that a team technical radio issue had occurred that explained alot. Chillz finally contacted me to let me know the tune was done whilst using TCS and tuned for front end grip with TCS on!!! NO WONDER I WAS STRUGGLING. More wine to calm nerves which resulted in the stupid decision to continue in said death tune!!

1st race. (Sprint race) Poor start, but clawed up to 2nd. consolidated and stayed there, not chasing down chillz for a few reasons. Mainly being too drunk by now and Chillz being way quicker than me.

2nd race. (feature race) Quite drunk now after celebrating, on second bottle of red now!! Very poor start so last again into first corner!! DOH!! This drink driving is not for me. Managed to pass Selective on the 2nd corner, once nearly passed a tap sent me towards wall at great speed. Sobbered up breifly, somehow managed to avoid wrecking car, 8th to 7th!! lol.
Then Collin let & Selective and I pass him on the straight, Cheers Coll, 7th to 6th follwing Chillz through the pack. Slim went wide 6th to 5th. Came across AAR Gashi going v slow over the hill top, heavy braking and a slight tap on his rear saw me drop behind Slim again ;o( 5th to 6th. Things getting a bit blurry now!! Then up to fourth after avoiding spin incident!! then into second!! This vid captured by official TORA TV, played at 50% speed.

Now alcohol kept the battle for 2nd with slim interesting for ages. He'd close the gap, I'd sobber up from fear and pull back a gap, then it happens all over again, many times.
Then the inevitable happened. Slim got passed, BUT, sobbering up with angry rage I got back my place, to be taken out!! LOL. No biggy, racing incident. Too pissed to hold slim off anyway by now.

Finished 3rd and thankfull too ;O) Great racing guys. thanks

Signed out before the race because I was expecting a visitor. They never came, so joined in for the feature race... only for my visitor to appear 2 laps into the race. Sad

Pulled over and parked it while I dealt with the interruption, but by the time I got back on, I was ten laps down and had missed most of the action. Straight away, I rolled it after the loop, then after a visit to the pits figured I'd just get some mileage in and make sure I wasn't a retirement.

Shortly after that, Stonewall damaged his car and pulled over to the side of the track. Knowing he was ten laps ahead, I pushed my very broken car as hard as I could, thinking at the very least I might actually finish higher than last. I have to thank Jigglymoobs (IIRC) for reminding Stonewall that he was in danger of losing his position with about two laps left to close on him!

Gutted my night was messed up for the various reasons, but on the strength of the feedback from meeting one, the V8s are going to be one of our best series yet.

And the entire AAR Magnaflow team is excited to have Gen3ral Ts0 driving for us. This will give us a great chance at the title.

We do still have one seat available, all you have to do is show up to race, everything else will be taken car of. Thanks.
