Post by racelegend MB1 on Thu 18 Feb 2010 - 19:37

@chucky. nah only moobs knows who i am so should be ok. tbh im not really doing anything wrong, but id just rather not have my colleagues know. its not relly seen as cool to talk about projects to mere mortals (thats a joke).

@Matt.

ha. sorry to hijack the thread. but i have other general news. i have a suspicion Range rover and upto sumin. were making some prototype stuff for them with some KERS like system. im thinking dakar or sumin?

Also a flying motorbike with the help of BMW and others. its really crazy. havnt seen images of the bike, but have seen drawings for transmission stuff.

Audi are redesigning the R15 engine and gearbox for 2011, before the new car arrives in 2012. (R20 anyone Razz) AND there is a chance of an R8LMS at lemans in 2011, possibly a works car Wink oh and Aston are upto sumin too. ive got a suspicion its more to do with the one-77 though.

il let u know as i do (or when its safe to lol)

Love the stripe down the middle and the wheels. To be honest as long as they stuck to the colour scheme it was always going to look nice.

Apparantly that was the only front wing Lotus had brought!

I love the shape of the Lotus, loving the short nose.

The lotus is great from the front wheels forward. The sidepods are way too blocky and just not as svelte as the rest of the current designs Even Virgin is significantly better packaged at the back of the car and makes best use of the space and air flow.

Re: F1 Car Launch Thread

yh. somehow gearboxes and transmission system directly affect a front nose Razz

although i would blame lotus not being able to start the opener with both cars ebcause of us. weve sort of got a shortage problem when it comes to the quantity of geabox casings. :O

and then theres the hope they will actually work Razz but tbf weve got enough experience in F1 transmission system, but its just that we are the first compnay and team to produce a 100% system. right down to every nut and bolt!

Nah but i can tell you that Xtrac have locked out the top 5 finishers in the 'Dakar' , achieved 1,2,3,5 and 6 in the IRC Monte Carlo Rally, Very Happy

Unfortunately we are still planning on taking an Xtrac 6 car recover truck to Bahrain. It will sit behind the doctos car at the start of the race to give the three new team a little push of the line if things dont go quite so well. Razz

no we have good faith that it will go fine (well the gerabox anyway, not sure about the rest of that campos and virgin car, but heh. Razz
