M&M Downtime
I know a few things are going around lately that Ian and myself have lost interest in racing within TORA so I just want to make a few things clear. Yes, we haven't been very attentive lately to the current seasons that are running. Whilst we still really enjoy racing with you guys and I am having the best racing I have ever had on Forza we feel that something is missing just now that is making us not bother turning up to race. Regarding the last few races we have missed them for various social reasons outside of playing computer games. Yes, the last MINi event saw us ditch the racing to play the Halo Reach Beta. Can you blame us? I had one night to play the Beta before I came offshore and personally it was an easy choice to not race in a championship that I am not really enjoying. We have also missed some Sunday night races due to traveling back home after nights out or being far too hungover to race. I know Ian missed last night because he was traveling back from Glasgow which is about 200 miles from where he actually lives and I am currently working offshore. So yeah, some things can't be helped.
I would just like to say though that I really appreciate every memeber of the team who continues to race with us even when we are not around. This is your team as much as ours so it makes me feel good when I see that we have teammates who still enjoy being a part of the team and who simply enjoy driving with us, and it's our pleasure to drive alongside you guys.
Even although it hasn't been mentioned much lfcnick did an amzing job for us in the TRC bringing himself and the team some very good victories in the event.
General is still doing an amazing job working on the Pug in the LMS basically on his own for the last month and to be so close to his first victory last night is incredible and and I hope he sticks with us for the remainder of the season whilst continuing to do the great job he has been doing.
Slider and Gary held their own last night in the GT-Jag category and its good to see that you guys are working well with the car. Its also good to see Slider say nice things about an LMS race afterwards as well
Scot is still running with us in the MINI championship and in GT2 and its great to have him on board. We have been working with him quite closely on an upcoming series and I want to thank him for all the efforts he has put in over the last while at TORA. Due to his work commitments he hasn't been able to race as much as he would like but I know how he feels on that one.
Rogue is still doing an amzing job with us in the TCM and personally its my favourite championship so far. Really good racing whatever lobby we are in and we are lookign forward to having Rogue remainw ith us in the upcoming V8 Series.
GT3 has been a pretty weak point from all 3 of us M&M regulars. Sunday night racing doesn't seem to work well just now. When we have raced we have been right at the front having all 3 drivers in A lobby which is something we were never able to do before. I wonder what could have been
Ok, I'm going on a bit again. For the second half of the year we are going to re-evaluate our priorities within TORA. We aren't racing as much as we thought we would and we have to figure out the reasons behind this. We will still be continuing our LMS teams as they stand but we will be looking at if there is much point in us finishing the other seasons apart from the TCM. We will be making a full assault on the TCC and V8s as we are really looking forward to them but we need to decide what other championships we want to take part in. In the first half of the year we signed up for pretty much everything and that is when the questions are raised as to why we aren't racing in them. There is about to be racing every single night of the week so we will have to decide what championships are exciting a different enough to keep us interested for the full season.
We're not gone, and we're not going. But I think there may be less M&M for the next half of the year that there usually has been.

M&M Downtime :: Comments
I'll be keeping up the M&M Name in the LMS as much as i can and will now hopefully have some time to properly tune the car and try and close the gap on those Fujifilm Storm cars....
.....and of course theres LeMans to look forward to.....
Completely understandable and necessary for you and Ian to have responsibilities and hobbies outside of TORA. It is my hope that you still turn up to races in the future, As I have had great battles with you and Ian this season in the TCM and the Mini's.
This being the break before the 2nd half of the season begins, I see it as a natural time for me to turn in my papers to Richy and focus my energies elsewhere in TORA. Being a part of the M&M team for the first half of the LMS season was a privilege and while we also had our share of bad luck, there was alot of great racing and results as well.

Sorry to hear that general. I know you haven't been as happy as you thought you would be in the Pug and I spoke to Ian a few times about saying to you that you could go race with Storm in GT2 like you wanted but he said he would still be racing in LMP1 and wanted you to race with him. If you are dropping out then we may not continue the LMP1 team and will think about re-newing it for 2011. With restrictions being very tight about Le Mans I don't think neither you or Ian wanted to do 2.4 hours of that track in the slowest LMP1 car so I completely understand you wanted to switch out before then.
Ian and myself will need to reconsider what we want to do with the second half of the LMS. Slider, Gary and Scot are still doing a great job in GT2 and I hope they continue to be a part of the team. Crisis is still doing what he can in LMP2 and I'll speak to him about what he wants from the LMS.
I think I learned a lesson here not to expand the team too much. I think from now on M&M will only consist of 1 team of 3 drivers like it should. Hvaing such a large expansion and trying to cater to everyones needs and changes of mind has been tough on the team overall.

I had spoke with ian on sunday before the start of the LMS race regarding things and gotten the impression that he was also not as happy in the pug.
I'm hoping that the entry rules for the 2.4h of LeMans will be relaxed and that people will get to run what they want.

Contrary to popular belief M&M Racing are still commited to running in LMP1. Ian will still be racing in the car he has only missed one race in and I have applied to race alongside him from Silverstone onwards.
