Re: ISCC Series Calendar

Post by Richy59 on Mon Aug 15, 2011 7:01 pm

ISCC America will be adjusting the dates of the races to suit the upcoming release of Forza 4. The following Calendar changes take immediate effect:

August 28th - ALMS Round 2: Road America 1hr
September 18th - ALMS Round 3: Sunset Peninsula Reverse 1hr
October 2nd - ALMS Round 4: Sebring 1hr
October 9th - ALMS Round 5: Road Atlanta 1hr 30mins

Sedona has been cut from the series and Petite Le Mans is now our final ISCC event for Forza 3.

I realize there is only a week between the final two ISCC rounds but this change has to be done. This change also unfortunately clashes with the F1 on every date. We have taken this decision as our Forza series are our most popular series. The F1 series will be going through a change for next season to hopefully greately reduce the number of clashes.

Thanks

:'( Sedona gets missed out. I love that track layout. Wish it would've stayed but to get the season done before the FM4 launch would be for the best, I think

excellent decision

"For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.”

i was just thinking. With Sedona being cut, perhaps we can have an 'exhibition' ISCC race there on FM4 after the season ends? that is if Sedona will continue on in Forza (unlike Tokyo, rio, Alpine Ring, Blue Mountain... from FM1)

similar to how NASCAR ran at Suzuka and Motegi Superspeedway in '97 and '98 as an 'exhibition' thing

ISCC America will be adjusting the dates of the races to suit the upcoming release of Forza 4, Britcar 24 and Petit Lemans

Spetember 25th - ALMS Round 4: Sebring 1hr
October 9th - ALMS Round 5: Road Atlanta 1hr 30mins

I realize this is only short notice but a number of members have seen keen on the idea and this is only bringing Sebring forward 1 week.

Cheers

Ohh great, so I turn up for 1 race in this series and now I can't race anymore for at least 2 races because I'm not sure if you have realised but I run GPWC. Actually, I'm not sure if you realise GPWC still exists. Was actually looking forward to the rest of this but oh well. Thats TORA for you.

We're working on making the GPWC better for next season. We're hoping to make it so that the rounds of GT and ISCC don't interfere with it.

A number of members? Who? When was all this decided? What have I missed and why wasn't I included?
We simply can't keep shifting events round like this to suit a few people. It's not fair on the rest of the participants.

Well we need to get it sorted, I will work with you all to decide something solid and get it sorted. Some people may not know about this and might miss it or have to rush building their car up. I'm with Matt here (Good to see you back again buddy! Smile ) we can't keep shifting races to suit a few people. It's not fair on others. But who am I to say anything. I'm just someone who races here and runs a tournament on a "Not-So-Popular-Game-Anymore." But I will work with you to sort out GPWC next year. Any night is good for me and I am hoping to advertise my butt off to get as many numbers as we can. Not just for F1 but for the whole of Forza aswell! We need new fresh faces because, no offence to no one because I love racing with you all, but it's sort of getting boring because we know each others style and it's more fun with new people and ts great for everyone else! We could be the biggest online community and the only one to be recognised by MSA! But thats next year! Let's finish this year, then we can focus on next year!

Matt, the subject was brought up couple of days ago, and majority of people who are involved with TORA said it was silly that it was the same weekend as Petit and Britcar and make for a terrible turnup. Shouldn't think it makes much difference either way to yourself though.

One of the problems with the F1 championship is that it attracted nearly a full lobby at the start, and now attracts only 3 people on a weekend where there are no other events. The main problem is that it runs for an entire season of 19 races. When we have to fit in ISCC, GT and the endurance races during the season which F1 often has a race every other weekend, yes there may be quite a few clashes.

Serious question, why should we keep the GPWC? During spring, summer and autumn F1 will once again be running often back to back or every other weekend. If we do this again, it'll mean scaling back to very few GT and ISCC races which brings nearly 20 people, in order not to clash for a series which attracts (give the benefit) 3-8 people

Fine then, delete your [Censored] GPWC. I can't be arsed to argue any more. Just cos 1 championship makes you lose out on others, you say get rid of it. Do what you friggin' like. It's your loss. Cos you'll lose me here. Reason why you'll lose me, is because I don't like the way you can just get rid of a tournament that people still want.

I struggle on why you get so angry very quickly rather than offer suggestions. Seems to happen all the time. It was a personal opinion versus the other chanmpionships, and suggestions have begun on how to keep it without the clashes.

And anyways, I'm not in the position to make the decision to delete a series.

I'm currently fighting your corner to help become a major part in next years season...
