I had a great connection the other sunday with 12 ppl in the lobby inc Dewey, but i was on with him the other night and we couldn't hold a conversation let alone drive for an hour.

until whoever at the top gets their finger out at xbox and creates some stable servers i think its just hit and miss.

You're right in what you're saying about this not making sure 100% we're going to have no-lag servers, but you have to appreciate that these tests at least give us a chance to get close to it, by seeing who has the best connection. Otherwise we could let anyone host and end up with the possiblility that we could have horrendous lag.

Connection speeds yes have a part to play but the biggest issues are -

Ltd Nat connection (really bad if you want to race online with this connection type)

Other users on your net work, you will lag and cause crashes until you either get them to not use your net work or you set up a net work channel so you can allocate bandwith

Wired connections far more safer.

IP conflicts, its not lobby hosts fault if you have a IP conflict, its your IP, reset your router before a race Smile

plus really its not xbox live half the time generaly the user shouting at his xbox

"Michael, I want you to drive flat out. I want Porsche to win Le Mans"

Ted: “They’re told, I’m told, that the rain will only be brief.”
Martin: “So might the trip to the barriers.”

This really is easy to follow if you read it as you do it. Defo recommend this for you Chris as it may help protect your xbox live session a little from other network users.
