Quick Hello from mattwm

Post by mattmeir on Wed Dec 28, 2011 1:48 pm

Hi Guys (and Gals?)
Stumbled across the site via the MSA website - great to see that an online community has been recognised as a club!
I'm Matt, currently living in Plymouth UK but am originally from North Staffordshire. Love motorsport - I'm a registered marshal and timekeeper with the MSA and various other clubs around the UK.

I've limited experience on Forza4, but have huge experience on other racing games so I'm sure it won't take me long to get up-to-speed. Won't be racing until February, as I've just moved house and waiting to get Broadband installed (damn mobile broadband right now) - so if it's OK with you guys I'll be more of a lurker and refrain from choosing a race number for the time being!

Outside of motorsport and gaming, I'm a huge football fan, regularly blog on various websites about various sports, and am an amateur photographer... Bit of a mixed bag, I know!

Hope to see you all on here soon - and the game eventually! Very Happy

Hey and welcome to TORA cheers

Don't worry if you don't feel up to racing much, we're a pretty big community of motorsport enthusiasts as well so feel free to get involved in some of the real life chat.

Our president Matt is also a marshall in the UK so I'm sure you guys can relate pretty well Very Happy

Well I stumbled across it by accident - I was looking for events that were taking place, and saw this club listed! Smile

I'm sure I'll get racing eventually - I've always wanted my own race team Smile

Welcome. I also marshal over here in the states. Good to have people well versed in motorsports signing up.

"For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.”
