As exciting as this is, because of living on campus at a university, I'm really unsure of what will come up during the day so I don't think I can be able to do this. I'll be able to do Le Mans for sure, though

XTI Nightrider, if it is looking like you will only be running at Le Mans and you would be willing to run a GT car, I may have a spot for you.

Any chance the car list can be downloadable or put somewhere else to view? It's impossible to see all the cars when embedded on iPhone using gdocs.

Question!

for registration, will each team be given a Team Number, or are we using our own TORA Race Number for each driver?

i dont know but seeing it says that we have to use the same car, i was just going to send the tune and paint for my car to my team mates so we have the 'same' car, if thats allowed

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion

Post by LucidMouse503 on Sun Jan 29, 2012 9:27 am

i have a proposal for you guys for the races, rain.
yep thats right, for say stint 3, have a -20% front and rear grip handicap for all cars, to act as a mild rain, i did a race like that, it and its so much fun, the AI drivers suck, but it was awesome becuase for the hairpin after that close bridge (not turn 17, the other really sharp one, you have to break 100 yeards earlier, the lap times are slower and the racing is more intense its really good. so my proposal was, in stin, say 3, have a -20% Front and Rear grip handicap, to simulate intermidiate rain, then for stin 4, have a -10 to -15% F n R grip handicap, to simulate it drying up from the cars driving on it, and then stint 5 have -5% to simulate that the track is damp with a little bit of water, but drying up, and then stint 6, have no handicaps to simulate its completely dry, i did a bit of racing like this and it is so much fun, it gives it another dimension to the race and it's more intense, so i hope you concider this becuase it was really fun when i did it, thanks guys

I've came up with with the 'rain' idea a few times and its not happened, it is something we have to try!

We've actually toyed with the idea of rain for a long time. It's just never worked.

what you can also do is put a fan in front of you set on high wind and get someone to get a water spraygun and spray into the fan so you get wet too lol

Are we have any number of mandatory stops for this, or, do we pit as needed?

cool as, i did a bit of maths... for a gt car, i used the ferrari f458, the average lap time, was 2:09.104, with sim damage, i did 10 laps, and on ym tv (this will sound stupid, but) i lost 1 cm of fuel, the tank is 5 cm long, which holds 50 laps of fuel, which is equal to 297.5km. the 10 laps to 23 min and 22 sec, so in 1 hr and 50 min, if GT runs an av lap time of 2:09, they will complete 50 laps (average). so our magic number are
50 laps (297.5 km) in 1 hr 50 min
and fuel lasts for 50 laps
