Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion

Post by GRT 458Italia on Sun Feb 12, 2012 10:08 am

Ok 2 questions: 1) can someone tell me a good GT time for Sebring? I was running 2:06 and Nick James123 was running 2:06, so what's a good time? And
2) I was wondering in the next few weeks, what's the possibility of running a 'race meet' but just practice. So basically, winter testing (or summer testing for me because I'm melting in the heat). But yea, they're doing/done it for ALMS, so I reckon it'd be good for us to do it as well, just drive around the track, talk with mates and put down some fast lap times...
Ok that's it, all (helpful) replies would be greatly appreciated

Probably just an agreed upon number (or if you're doing a replica paint, use the number on the actual car)

with the flags of your representative nations and your gamertags.

probably pretty good. i'd be down. and i'm sure others would be.

Numbers wise I would say just run your TORA numbers, but if you are making a specific replica for the event just use the numer on that. It's a pretty individual event, so numbers aren't a huge deal.

There WILL be mandatory Lygo logos for the cars however, once I get them made. There may be mandatory boxes, however we are still discussing this.

"For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.”

OMG!!! testing has begun, this FLM09 is horrid to drive. Feels like the rear is heavy and dragging on the floor!!

Managed to go from a 1:54 down to a 1:46.2 so far.....not enjoying our choice so far. Fingers crossed we an balance this beast!

Just to clarify, you guys don't go into daylight savings time for another few weeks over in the UK?

The reason I'm asking is because there are a few weeks in the year where the US and UK go off a bit from where they usually are, for example EST is -4 rather than -5. The race takes place in those few weeks I believe, so anybody using their normal math to figure out when their stints are might be off by an hour. Could somebody else think about this and get back to me? I confuse myself some times.

LOL we actually go into say light savings on the 25th March.

But this will not have an effect on the race its self due to -

Stint 5 - 10pm to 12am
Stint 6 - 12am to 2am

Are the last stints.

Clocks dont go back until 1.00 am but we would have already started the final stint at 12 so no issue.

Yeah the US goes into daylight saving this coming sunday the 11th, so the race times would be an hour later than normal for US people. Just trying to figure things out for my team, some of us have other races that day we want to try and squeeze in.
