Announcing Grade 8 Race Team

Following a vastly reduced program in 2011, BrennGP has reformed as Grade 8 Race Team.

The team last ran as Mugen Motorsport in the 2010 TORA Touring Car Championship, during which it ran a trio of Honda Civic Si Coupes, maintaining a long-standing relationship with the manufacturer, having run at least one Civic in the series since the first season in 2008. When team-owner Scot 'ckBrenneke' Reid moved to GRP Motorsport's Kia Forte Koup for the 2011 season, BrennGP sold off its Civics and closed it's doors.

The end of 2011 saw TORA run the second season of the Abarth Trophy. Having contested the first season, Reid bought a new Abarth and formed Grade 8 Race Team out of the remaining assets of BrennGP, entering the Abarth in selected rounds. This year will see the team enter the forthcoming TORA Touring Car Championship 2012 season, although the decision on what car they will use has yet to be made.
